Asahi Kasei Plastics North America’s environmental management system (EMS) carries the ISO 14001:2004 certification.

The ISO 14001 certification is the world’s most-recognized standard for establishing and maintaining an effective environmental management system.  In order to obtain this certification, it is necessary to demonstrate a commitment to reduce the environmental impact through corporate responsibility and compliance.

For Asahi Kasei Plastics North America, Inc, the ISO 14001:2004 certification also requires a commitment to continuous improvement within the EMS framework.  As such, we are implementing programs that have measurable results to manage and reduce our impact on the planet.  To ensure compliance, our programs are periodically verified by independent accredited third parties (Intertek).
